  • Google Celebrates Iconic Mexican Composer María Grever With a Doodle

    María Grever (real name María Joaquina de la Portilla Torres) was honored with a Google Doodle Thursday in celebration of her song “Ti-Pi-Tin,” which was released on this day 83 years ago.
    The doodle shows a colorful sketch of Grever, wearing a green blouse and gold accessories, over a curved music staff with musical notes. “Google” is written in a green vintage font. “Thanks for all the music María Grever; it continues to strike a chord with listeners around the world today!” noted Google.
